Artist’s description:
This painting is inspired by the poem Adam’s Curse by W. B. Yeats which is about the difficulties of creating something beautiful.
It began like all my paintings as an abstract, but the figures were to clear to ignore, at times there was up to 10 parcial figures and faces, but most have hidden once again back into the paint.
It has fields of intense colour, and to make some of these shine out even more I have added iridescent paints, pearl white gleaming alongside gold and bronze. It even has some foils added to enhance the jewel like appearance.
Materials used:
acrylic paint and mixed media on stretched canvas
